This week, 900 students from across the Commonwealth traveled to Richmond to share the story of agricultural education and FFA with our state leaders, and KWHS FFA was proud to participate!

Our FFA representative met with legislators to advocate for FFA and agricultural education within our public schools We were even able to hear a special message of support from Governor Spanberger! This opportunity to practice leadership, government involvement and advocacy, and to highlight agriculture within our community was a valuable learning experience for all.

One of our SODA mentors ran into her student at a high school basketball game, and the smiles said it all! They were so happy to see each other, a perfect example of how SODA mentors are looked up to by the younger students they guide. SODA’s mission is about building character, connection, and life skills, which help create meaningful relationships and moments like this.
