Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a great starting point for any career! If you are headed to a four-year college or university, two-year college, the military, or straight to work, Career and Technical Education programs at King William High School can connect you to any path you choose.

CTE is a planned program of courses and learning experiences that begins with exploration of career options, supports basic academic and life skills, and enables achievement of high academic standards, leadership, preparation for industry-defined work, and advanced and continuing education.

Our Mission: Upon Graduation all Cavaliers will be (3E Ready) either Enrolled in a College or university, Enlisted in the military, or Employed in the workforce.

In Virginia, a high-quality work-based learning experience has been identified as a graduation requirement and a measure of accreditation. There are 3 requirements for an experience to meet this description:

  1. Related to student's career goals and interests

  2. Connected to a CTE course 

  3. Performed in partnership with businesses and organizations


For any business that would like to participate in a work-based learning experience with King William High School must submit the Employer Information Sign-up and you will be contacted by a school representative to set-up the next steps. 


Any student participating in a Work-Based Learning Experience must complete the KWCPS Student Training Plan.
