Ms. Compton's History classes literally got a taste of colonial life! 🫐

As part of our study on the 13 colonies, we got messy and made our own historical ink out of blueberries! This project helped us understand the amazing resourcefulness of early American settlers and how they used simple, everyday materials for essential tasks.

Students from Ms. Compton's and Mrs. Funai's classes visited Primis Bank Tuesday for the second part of their bank presentation—and it was a huge success!

After learning the basics at school last week, students got to practice vital skills like writing a check, making a deposit, filling out a deposit slip, and even counting cash. They also received important lessons on spotting scam emails and the fundamentals of budgeting.

Thank you to the team at Primis Bank for giving our students such valuable, hands-on financial education!

On Monday, King William High School hosted its first-ever Field Hockey Camp, and it was a HUGE success!
We welcomed 17 energetic campers from 2nd through 7th grade for a fun-filled day of learning, teamwork, and hockey excitement. Our amazing JV and varsity field hockey players led the camp, teaching new athletes the fundamentals of the game, from dribbling, passing, and shooting to positions on the field.

The day wrapped up with an action-packed 7v7 scrimmage, where campers got to show off their new skills!

We are so proud to see the next generation of King William Field Hockey athletes taking the field for the very first time. Thank you to all the players, families, and Coach Funai and Hood who made this day possible. The future of KWHS Field Hockey is bright!

Today, Mrs. Funai’s and Ms. Compton’s classes had the exciting opportunity to participate in an interactive financial literacy presentation from Primis Bank right here at King William High School!

Students learned all about smart saving, including how to open a bank account, pay themselves first, create a budget, build an emergency fund, avoid debt, and set meaningful financial goals. They had a blast playing games, winning prizes, and gaining valuable life skills to help them plan for their financial future.

Next week, students will take a field trip to Primis Bank to continue their learning journey by exploring topics like money fraud, how to open accounts, and responsible money management.

A huge thank you to Primis Bank for investing in our students and providing such a fun, engaging, and empowering learning experience!
