We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Patrick Kane to the position of Athletic Director for KWHS! Coach Kane is an experienced, longtime Virginia educator and coach who understands the importance and value of student participation in extracurricular sports and activities. We know that our coaches, families, and student-athletes will enjoy working with Coach Kane and benefitting from his enthusiasm and experience in continuing to strengthen and develop successful athletic programs. His introductory welcome letter is attached to this message and he'll be reaching out to coaches and student-athletes very soon. Please welcome Coach Kane back to the Cavalier community!

We also are pleased to celebrate the success of several spring athletic programs that have advanced to state competition:
Girls Softball - defeated Riverheads HS this afternoon with a dominating score of 15-1, advancing to the VHSL Class 2A State semi-final game against Appomattox County on Friday morning.
Boys Baseball - defeated Buckingham County HS this afternoon with a score of 7-6, and advance to the VHSL Class 2A State semi-final game against Lebanon at noon Friday.
